Summary:
The Texture/Look Dev Artist serves the critical role of ensuring that the final rendered look of the production’s environments, props, & characters achieve the creative vision set forth. The ideal candidate should have a strong artistic background, possess a solid understanding of the painterly application of light and color and a strong sense of graphic composition. We are seeking a great artist who will thrive in a collaborative, artistically driven environment and who will constantly strive to raise the production quality bar.

They should be able to effectively and proactively communicate issues with colleagues, take direction well and be calm under pressure. The successful candidate should possess strong problem solving skills and the ability to collaboratively develop solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Surface, Texture and Shade Character, Set and Prop production assets to achieve the visual goals of the production.
- Assist with other related production tasks at the discretion of production.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Fine Art, Digital Art or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Experience surfacing, texturing, shading, lighting, and rendering in digital production.
- Strong knowledge of texturing, UV layout and digital painting.
Additional Desired Skills:
- Experience with Renderman, Nuke, Mari, Zbrush
- Renderman Shader development
- Experience with digital matte painting and 3D projection techniques
