Rare takes place in the not so distant future as the world is running out of oxygen. Countries are no longer relevant and people have gathered from everywhere in different regions where pockets of oxygen remain. Local authorities decide who are the lucky ones to be cryogenically frozen, and who will be doomed to a bleak subsistence existence. Soon, there are those who will rise to break this cycle – like Hanna. She is not one of the lucky ones. In fact, she is so much more.
