Summary:

Bron Animation is seeking Character Rigging TD’s for our forthcoming animated feature film. The ideal candidate should possess a strong aesthetic sense with respect to modelling best practises, as well as body and facial anatomy and expression. We are seeking artists who thrive on pursuing a high level of craftsmanship and close attention to detail. This role is focused primarily on the artistic aspects of rigging including careful skin weighting, joint placement and fine articulation.

They should be able to effectively and pro actively communicate issues with colleagues, take direction and critical noting well and be calm under pressure. The successful candidate should possess strong problem solving skills and the ability to collaboratively develop solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Under the supervision of the Rigging Lead and working closely with Animation Character Leads, build excellent character rigs.
• Provide excellent skin and deformer weighting to satisfy performance requirements and aesthetic goals.
• Provide additional custom deformer solutions and corrective model sculpts as required
• Perform detailed character model finaling post animation.

Requirements:

• CS or Fine Art Degree and/or relevant industry experience
• Production rigging experience including facial, body and mechanical rigging.

Additional Desired Skills:

• Modelling and animation experience.
• Traditional drawing and life drawing skills.
• Scripting/Programming skills including Python, PyMel, QT, PyQt, Mel.
