Aaron L. Gilbert
President & CEO
Aaron Gilbert is the Co-Founder, President & CEO of BRON and has spent more than 20 years focused on the production, business affairs, financing and global licensing of content. He has produced such notable films as the Academy Award and Golden Globe winning film FENCES, the Grand Jury and Audience Award winning Sundance hit THE BIRTH OF A NATION and the Hank Williams biopic I SAW THE LIGHT. He leads BRON, with a key focus on the development, production, financing, and selling of its live-action and animated motion pictures and television series productions.
Brenda is the Co-Founder, and Co-President of BRON and has been active in film and media initiatives for more than 15 years. Brenda has executive produced or co-executive produced several productions including MIGHTY MIGHTY MONSTERS, HENCHMEN, WILLOUGHBYS, I SAW THE LIGHT, THE BIRTH OF A NATION, MONSTER, and the upcoming Sundance feature film BEATRIZ AT DINNER. Brenda is instrumental in facilitating team development and corporate planning. Her background includes many years at the British Columbia Securities Commission where she worked in the Finance, Enforcement, Legal and Communications Divisions.
COO & General Counsel
Joel Guralnick is the COO and General Counsel of BRON and is responsible for corporate operations and development of BRON’s diverse entertainment businesses. Joel started his career as a lawyer practicing in corporate and commercial law before specializing in entertainment law. For 6 years, he led the entertainment practice in the Vancouver office of Goodmans LLP working on a variety of feature films and television series, as well as a wide range of new media and technology projects. Prior to joining BRON he spent 8 years as General Counsel of Vision Critical where he was part of the senior management team that oversaw the international growth of the company.
Executive Vice President
Steven is the Executive Vice President of BRON, overseeing strategic planning and production finance for all of BRON’s divisions. He joined BRON in 2012 as Vice President of Finance & Operations and was named to his current post in 2016. Steven has been a Co-Executive producer and/or financing executive on over 40 productions and prior to joining BRON he was an auditor with Ernst & Young where he worked extensively with private and public studio clients both domestic and abroad. He is currently a board member of the Canadian Media Producer’s Association – BC Branch and serves on several policy & advisory committees in the industry.
SVP Production & Distribution
As head of the Los Angeles office of BRON, Anjay oversees film and television productions from the development and financing stages all the way through production and distribution. Previously he was the head of Focus World, a sub-division of Focus Features, where he sourced independent narrative and documentary films and oversaw their worldwide marketing and distribution. Anjay also served as the Head of Business Development and Finance for FilmDistrict and GK Films/GK-TV and in Business Development and Operations at Sony.
SVP Business Affairs
Adam Davids has been the counsel for either production, finance or distribution on over 50 films and works with both talent and institutions in the entertainment industry. Adam holds a Masters of Arts from Columbia University, received his JD from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and is a Level I CFA. Prior to practicing law, Adam was Vice President – International of the New York Institute of Finance, Chief Executive Officer of the Global Association of Risk Professionals, financial director for the electronic music conference M3 and provided training services to the National Association of Securities Dealers (now FINRA) and the CFA Institute. He has been designated a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers in 2015 and 2016.
SVP Business Affairs
David studied journalism and mass communication at St. Bonaventure University, earned his JD from Brooklyn Law School, is admitted to the bars of New York and California and is a member of the New York and California Bar Associations. A practicing attorney he has spent the last nine years focused on film, television, publishing, and new media. In addition to having worked as production or distribution counsel on over 30 independent film, television and new media programs, David also represents high profile authors in major studio book-to-film & television acquisitions and factual programming producers in the development and sale of their reality television programs.
VP Development (Film)
Garrick joined BRON as its VP of Development in 2014, following an 8-year run in a similar role with LA based Bold Films. During his time at Bold, Garrick was involved with such acclaimed projects as: the Sundance Grand Jury Prize-winning drama WHIPLASH and Nicholas Winding Refn’s DRIVE and oversaw Dan Gilroy’s directorial debut NIGHTCRAWLER. Prior to joining Bold, he worked in feature development for producers Joel Silver (THE MATRIX) and Denise DiNovi (BATMAN), and as a story editor on the feature documentaries THE YEAR OF THE YAO and SO GOES THE NATION. Garrick has served on a number of international festival juries including Sitges and Fantasia and in addition to his Development role, Garrick leads THE REALM, BRON’s genre label and is producing or co-producing all of THE REALM productions.
VP Development (TV)
Danielle joined Bron as the VP of Development spear-heading the television division. Previously she was the SVP of Celestial Pictures, where she mined the Chinese language Shaw Brothers library for adaptations for the global market. Before Celestial Pictures, Danielle was an executive at Overbrook Entertainment, managing a diverse slate of films for partners Will Smith, Jada Pinkett-Smith and James Lassiter where she also produced three seasons of the television show HAWTHORNE. Prior to Overbrook, Danielle was an executive at Kadokawa Pictures USA and worked on the Warner Bros. feature ONE MISSED CALL and was also an Associate Producer for the finale episodes of both seasons of Showtime Networks television series, MASTERS OF HORROR.
VP of Post-Production
Andria Spring is the VP of Post Production at Bron Studios where she oversees the completion and delivery of all media properties. With over ten years of experience in film & television, she has worked with dozens of buyers ranging from HBO, to Sony, to Lionsgate. She is proud to draw on her experiences as an in-house producer at Anagram Pictures, and as a project manager at one of Vancouver’s leading DI facilities. Spring helms from the University of British Columbia’s Film & Theatre department, where she completed her BA in film production.
VP Production (Animation)
Luke joined Bron in early 2014 and is now the VP Production, focused on animation. He has produced numerous CG animated films that have grossed over $200 million dollars in worldwide sales to date. After producing multiple DVDs for Mattel Inc., Luke produced the CG animated feature film ESCAPE FROM PLANTET EARTH for The Weinstein Company. Equipped with an MFA in Film Production and Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia, Luke is also an award winning independent filmmaker with screenings at over 50 international film festivals. In addition to his role as a Producer on BRON’s animated features HENCHMEN and THE WILLOUGHBYS, Luke is instrumental in development for the animation group’s film and television initiatives.
Teunis de Raat
VP Digital Production (Animation/VFX)
Inspired by Aaron Gilbert’s bold vision to create an independent animation studio producing original content, De Raat joined Bron Animation in 2012 to lead production of Bron’s debut, Mighty Mighty Monsters specials. In his capacity as the VP of Digital, de Raat has guided the strategic development of the animation studio’s organization, production workflows and pipeline, and recruitment of critical key personnel in addition to initiation of production and VFX Supervision of the studio’s first two feature films, HENCHMEN and THE WILLOUGHBYS. An animation industry veteran, De Raat’s 20 years of production experience includes Walt Disney Feature Animation, Pixar Canada, ImageMovers Digital, Rainmaker Entertainment, and Dream Quest Images. His credits include: MEET THE ROBINSONS, BOLT, A CHRISTMAS CAROL, ARMAGEDDON, MIGHTY JOE YOUNG, MARS NEEDS MOMS, CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK, QUEEN OF THE DAMNED, and INSPECTOR GADGET among others.
VP Human Resources
Kam oversees all of the HR needs at BRON including recruiting, retention and employee engagement. She obtained an undergraduate degree, and then her MBA, from the University of Victoria and prior to joining BRON worked with Prime Focus Creative Services where she was the Human Resources Manager. Before entering the entertainment industry she worked extensively in e-commerce where she acted as the Director of Customer Service and Director of Human Resources with Clearly Contacts and Coastal Contacts Inc.
VP Finance (Animation)
Rob joined BRON in 2015 and is now the VP Finance for BRON’s animation group. Previously Rob was Director of Finance at Nerd Corps Entertainment, and while there he oversaw the studio’s growth to over 400 employees and was responsible for all aspects of production finance, accounting and distribution for both content and service productions. Prior to joining the entertainment industry Rob spent ten years running a national distribution company after graduating from Simon Fraser University.
Head of Production
Since 2015 Matthias has been responsible for handling the development and execution of live-action projects. Matthias started his career in the film industry over 20 years ago after finishing his rowing career with an Olympic Gold medal. In 1993, Matthias completed the film-directing program at the Konrad Wolf Film University in Potsdam, Germany and while based in Berlin he directed feature-length documentaries for German Television and started working as a 1st AD on German Independent features. Since 2001 and his move to North America his focus has been on live-action drama, working as a 1st AD, Production Manager and Line Producer on over 30 productions.
Director of Technology
Terry is a highly experienced veteran of the IT world. He started applying his skills to the entertainment industry in 1997 at Mainframe Entertainment where he worked on numerous animated series before he took the position as Head of Systems at Image Engine. There he grew the IT department significantly while working on numerous high-end productions, including DISTRICT 9, TWILIGHT: ECLIPSE, and THE THING. Terry has been with BRON since 2011 and has led the studios’ technical efforts on all of its productions during this time.
Post & Technical Operations Manager
Larry started his career in the entertainment industry over 18 years ago at Mainframe Entertainment in the engineering department working with editorial edit suites and supporting desktops. Larry continued to grow his career into the Post and Technical Operations Manager role where he worked on an assortment of animated series and films. Larry has been with BRON since 2011 and has led the studios’ audio & visual efforts on all of its live-action and animation productions.

John has a diverse background, first graduating from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a BS in Electrical Engineering and creating the Shareware hit “The Dungeon of Doom”, before entering the rigid plastic packaging business. He partnered with First Atlantic Capital in 2004 to grow it from the then $90M US to over to over $300M US in just four years. In 2008 he diversified his interests in the US while maintaining a packaging business in Europe. Sitting on the other side of the Private Equity table has taken many forms where the common theme has been both promoting a better world and a return to his first love, technology. As a Spirit of Innovation member at the XPrize Foundation, he has seeded the development of an XPrize in the education sector and as part of Raymonds Capital, LLC, he has become the lead investor for the re-launch of Reading Rainbow. The most active investment to date, and for the long term ahead, is the partnership founded with BRON.

Jason is the founder and Managing Partner of Creative Wealth Media Finance Corp. He began his career in the financial services industry in 1988 as a Fixed Income Economist for CIBC/Wood Gundy and holds a graduate degree in Economics. He has been offering high net worth individuals a diverse selection of financial products and services for the last 24 years. He founded Creative Wealth Management Group Inc in 1992 and formed a strategic partnership with a Toronto based Merchant Bank to work on over 40 film and television financing projects. Currently, Jason has executive produced over 20 films and raised in excess of $125 million for the film entertainment industry.
Dr. Joseph Gilbert
Board of Directors
After graduation from Medical School at McGill University in Montreal, Joe completed residency programs in Neurology and Neuropathology at Case Western Reserve University before joining the Departments of Pathology and Clinical Neurological Sciences at the University of Western Ontario. He was V.P. Medical Affairs, V.P. Research and ultimately the CAO of two research units at University and St Joseph’s Hospitals. He was responsible for the administration of research grants, as well as capital projects for research facility construction. He also held leadership positions for national organizations, which interfaced with Federal granting agencies and Provincial associations. Since his retirement in 2006, Joe has chaired the Health Sciences Research Ethics Board at Western.

Pat has been in the entertainment and financial services industries for over 30 years, with broad experience in finance, business affairs, production, distribution, strategic planning and investment banking in the film, television and related media industries. He has been a senior finance and operations executive for a number of entertainment companies, including HBO, IMAX Corporation, Avenue Pictures and InterMedia. He has had a significant role in the financing, production and distribution of over 75 feature film and television projects, as well as the development of production studios in Europe, Asia and North America. Pat is also a partner in Los Angeles Media Fund, and is President of Patrician Capital Management. Pat has a BA, MA and MBA all from UCLA.
